Dear Fellow Faculty Members,
The Faculty Association is happy to announce that 93% of those who voted, voted to ratify the Agreement. Congratulations! We are happy to confirm that UOIT’s Board of Governor’s has ratified the agreement as well.
This new agreement marks a milestone for us, a consolidated agreement that covers all faculty members at UOIT. In this agreement we realized improvements to our pension and benefits, strengthened collegial processes and negotiated fair compensation increases given the current political climate.
Every round of bargaining improves our working conditions, and this would not be possible without the amazing show of support from you, our members. Thank you for your continued participation every step of the way; beginning with our bargaining survey, through to town-halls and consults, navigating a strike mandate vote and finally reaching an agreement while in a legal strike position.
